Extreme Make Up: The Queen Bohemian Rhapsody

Io e Katia il 16 marzo 2015 eravamo al cinema in prima fila per vivere l'atmosfera di un concerto dei Queen, per l'esattezza del concerto del 1981 tenutosi a Montreal.

Siamo due ragazze rock e abbiamo voluto rendere omaggio alla nostra band mito creando un make up al ritmo di una delle nostre melodie preferite: Bohemian Rhapsody, forse la più misteriosa e difficile canzone scritta da Freddy Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody è divisa in tre parti caratterizzate da generi diversi fusi tra loro. La prima parte è in forma di ballata ed è chiusa da un assolo di chitarra che apre la strada a una parte operistica per chiudere con l'hard rock.

In questo crescendo di musica abbiamo immaginato anche un crescendo di look: nel make up occhi e labbra, nei vestiti e nelle acconciature.



I make up sono stati costruiti uno sopra l'altro, il primo quindi non poteva non essere un naturale nude look che ha fatto da base a uno smokey eyes che è stato reso più drammatico nell'ultima fase grazie all'aggiunta di cristalli.

Anche i cambi d'abito hanno sottolineato i tre diversi tempi della musica: si è passati da una canotta cipria a una sottoveste e vestaglia candida per la fase più intimistica, poi una gonna lunga e velata che a tratti scopriva le gambe e per finire il fantastico vestito di paillettes sfumate dall'argento al nero.

Non poteva mancare una corona per completare l'ultima metamorfosi, piena di cristalli, da vera regina!

Come per i Queen Bohemian Rhapsody è stata la canzone più lunga così è stato per noi, tre cambi d'abito e tre cambi di make up hanno richiesto poco meno di cinque ore di shooting, alla fine eravamo, fotografa e modella, esauste!

Katia and I are rock girls and in this shooting we pay homage to the Queen, our favourite rock band.

We created a make up and outfit at the rate of Bohemian Rhapsody, their most beloved and mysterious songs that Freddy Mercury wrote.

Bohemian Rhapsody is divided in three parts: the ballad, the opera and the rock.

In this music crescendo we imagine a look crescendo too: in make up, outfit and hairdo.

My make up is layered from nude to smoked to super dramatic crystal eyes.

For the outfit we had for the intimate part a white babydoll, for the second a long black skirt and for the rock part a wonderful sequin dress and a crown too, as a real Queen!

As it was the longest Queen song, it was our longest shooting too. Three make up looks and three outfits necessitate a five hour shooting.

Nail Art of the Day: Halloween Spiders and Webs

Per il mio Halloween 2015 ho scelto una nail art poco appariscente, elegante in nero e argento olografici e con i simboli della festa: il ragno con le sue ragnatele!

Ho applicato lo smalto Kiko 442 un bel nero con microglitter multicolor, appartiene a un'edizione limitata e lo uso spesso, lo trovi infatti anche in questa nail art.

Ho preso la ragnatela dal disco BM-13, uno dei primissimi che ho comprato, e stampandola sulle punte ha formato una sorta di french ... mostruosa!

Siccome amo le accent manicure, sull'anulare ho applicato lo smalto argento olografico e sopra ci ho stampato il bel ragno dal disco HD01, usato anche in questa nail art.

Ho protetto il tutto con il top coat e al sesto giorno ho solo qualche punta consumata!

For Halloween 2015 I choose an elegant nail art in black and silver with Halloween symbols: the spiders and its webs!

I applyed Kiko 442, a beautiful black polish with multicolored microglitter. It's from a past limited edition and I used it many times, you can see it in this manicure too.

I took the web from BM-13 plate, it's one of the first plate I've ever bought. I stamped it on the edge and it seems a horror french!

I love accent manicure, so on my ringfinger I applyed a holo silver polish and I stamped a spider from HD01 that I used in this manicure too.

I protected with the top coat and after six days wearing it shows just some tip wear!

Nail Art of the Day: Draculaura Manicure

 In questo post ti avevo mostrato la nostra Draculaura ed è venuto il momento di mostrarti in dettaglio la manicure e di svelare tutti i dettagli.

Niente di complicato, ho scelto il colore preferito di Draculaura, un bel fucsia pieno, e l'ho applicato in due passate.

Poi con lo smalto speciale bianco ho stampato dal disco Fab ur Nails Fun 2 ho stampato i teschietti/cuoricini, in perfetto stile cute/horror delle Monster High!

In this post I showed you our Draculaura and now it's time for showing you the manicure!

This manicure is soooo easy!

I choose the favourite Draculaura's color, a beautiful fuschia polish and I applyed two coats.

With the white special polish I stamped the skulls/hearts as the cute/horror Monster High style!

Extreme Make Up: Monster High Draculaura

Se hai una bambina che ti gironzola intorno sai di cosa sto parlando: le Monster High sono delle bambole fashion ispirate ai mostri dei film horror, sono infatti le figlie dei mostri e frequentano la stessa scuola superiore!

Tra i banchi si può trovare Frankie Stein, figlia di Frankenstein, Clawdeen Wolf, figlia del lupo mannaro, Cleo de Nile, figlia della mummia e Draculaura, figlia del conte Dracula ma...vegetariana!

Come il suo celebre padre ha i canini aguzzi e come tutti i vampiri non può specchiarsi: immagino che tragedia sarà per lei truccarsi ogni mattina!

Ho pensato che per un Halloween all'ultima moda sarebbe un travestimento molto carino, io e la mia amica Katia abbiamo provato ad impersonarla rubando la parrucca da Draculaura alla figlia di Katia!

Calze a rete, stivali neri e minigonna hanno fatto il resto del costume.

Il make up che ho realizzato riproduce quello della bambola e come nail art ho scelto uno smalto fucsia, colore preferito di Draculaura, e l'ho decorato con dei teschietti a forma di cuoricino.

If you have a girl around you you know what I mean: Monster High are fashion dolls inspired by horror movie monsters. They are daughters of monsters and they attend the same high school.

Between the class you can meet Frankie Stein, Clawdeen Wolf, Cleo de Nile and Draculaura, daughter of the famous count Dracula.

Like her father she has sharpen teeth but she is vegetarian! Like all vampires she can't be reflected in mirrors, what a tragedy for her daily make up!

For a fashion Halloween a Draculaura costume would be cool, so my BFF Katia and I tryed to play her stealing the Draculaura wig from Katia's daughter!

Fishnet stockings, black boots and a miniskirt were our costume.

The make up I've done is a copy of the doll's make up. For my nail art I choose a fuchsia nail polish, the favourite Draculaura's color, and I stamped it with some heart shape skulls.
