ABC Challenge: Q is for Quilted

La lettera Q dell'ABC Challenge mi ha dato del filo da torcere, avevo pochissima ispirazione. Poi ho scelto di fare una nail art a trama impunturata, in inglese quilted.

Come base ho scelto uno smalto Mac di un paio di anni fa, Submerged, un color ottanio cromato molto particolare.

Per lo stamping ho usato uno smalto Kiko della linea Mirror, sono davvero perfetti per questo uso.

For letter Q of ABC Challenge I had some difficulties because of a lack of inspiration.

Then I decided to do a quilted nail art.

As my base coat I choose Mac Submerged, a deep teal chrome polish I bought two years ago.

For stamping I used a Kiko polish from Mirror collection, it is perfect for this purpose.

I choose a quilted pattern from Born Pretty BP-L020 plate (you can find it here) that was sent me as a sample from NurBesten. If you are shopping there you can use the code FFL10 at checkout for 10% off.

This plate has some lovely lace pattern and I think I will use it again soon.

I sealed this nail art with a layer of top coat.

HPB Presents: Goldfish Scales

Il tema che abbiamo scelto per il mese di agosto nel gruppo Facebook Hobby Polish Bloggers (HPB) sono i pesciolini rossi.

Visto che da poco ho realizzato una nail art con tanti pesciolini tropicali (la trovi qui) ho scelto di fare una nail art macro e di rappresentare le scaglie dei pesci rossi.

Per questa decorazione lo stamping è la tecnica perfetta ma, invece di usare un disco con le classiche scaglie regolari, ho scelto una fantasia geometrica che me le ricordasse dal disco MoYou London Tropical Collection 13.

Come base ho scelto uno smalto Kiko di un paio di stagioni fa, un rosso acceso ricco di microglitter e riflessi oro e per lo stamping ho usato il mio solito China Glaze 2030 che, dopo tanti anni di uso, è ormai agli sgoccioli.

Mi è bastato poi applicare uno strato di top coat per proteggere tutto.

The prompt for this month in Hobby Polish Bloggers (HPB) group is goldfish.

Some days ago I realized a nail art with tropical fish (you can find it here), so I decided to do a macro nail art with goldfish scales.

Nail stamping is the ideal technique for this kind of decorationbut I did not use a typical fishscale plate. I choose a geometric pattern from MoYou London Tropical Collection 13 plate.

As my base coat I used a Kiko polish that I bought two years ago, a fire red with gold microglitter. For stamping I used my usual China Glaze 2030.

Then I applyed a layer of top coat to seal the design.

ABC Challenge: P is for Panda

Per la lettera P dell'ABC Challenge sono stata molto indecisa, ma alla fine ho scelto Panda!

Ho ricreato una nail art che avevo realizzato per il vecchio blog più di cinque anni fa usando lo stesso smalto di base e lo stesso disco per stamping.

Ho cambiato solo i piccoli panda, anzichè in stamping ho scelto dei pratici water decals.

Lo smalto di base è Reclaim di Nubar, in assoluto tra i primi smalti olografici che ho posseduto, ora si trovano di tutte le marche e i prezzi, ma cinque anni fa era davvero qualcosa di mai visto.

Reclaim è uno smalto molto denso, coprente già alla prima passata, io ne faccio sempre due per eliminare eventuali imperfezioni nell'applicazione. In cinque anni non ha perso nulla della sua bellezza originale.

Con lo smalto oro ho stampato le canne di bamboo dal disco Konad m66, poi, aiutandomi con le pinzette, ho applicato le decalcomanie con i panda, non sono dolcissimi?

Ho protetto la nail art con il top coat.

It was difficult for me to choose a theme for letter P of ABC Challenge, then I decided to do Panda!

I remade a nail art I did five years ago for previous blog and I used the same nail polish and the same stamping plate.

I just changed the little pandas, instead of stamping here I used some practical water decals.

The base polish is Nubar Reclaim, one of my very first holo polishes. Now you can find them from various company and prices but back in 2011 they were hard to find.

I stamped in gold the bamboo from Konad m66 plate and the I applyed the panda decals, aren't they sweet?

I protect my nail art with a layer of top coat.

ABC Challenge: O is for Oriental Manicure

Per la lettera O dell'ABC Challenge ho deciso di fare una manicure orientale con uno dei miei dischi per nail stamping a tema mandala di MoYou London.

Visto che gli smalti olografici danno il meglio in estate, ho scelto il numero #08 di Born Pretty Store (puoi acquistarlo a questo link) e l'ho steso sulla mia solita base per unghie rigate.

Per raggiungere l'opacità che desideravo ho applicato tre passate, con una base nella stessa tonalità sotto me ne sarei evitata una!

Ho stampato il disegno con lo smalto per stamping #21 (lo trovi a questo link) che sulla base viola è diventato un fucsia bello intenso. Sono molto soddisfatta di questo smalto per stamping, i miei Konad storici sono ormai agli sgoccioli ed ero alla ricerca di un'alternativa più economica.

Come accent ho applicato alla base dell'anulare con una goccia di top coat due borchiette neon in due diverse nuance di viola.

Ho steso il top coat su tutte le unghie per proteggere la decorazione.

For letter O of ABC Challenge I decided to do an Oriental Manicure with one of my Mandala nail stamping plate from MoYou London.

Holographic polises are at their best in summer, so I choose Born Pretty Store #08 (you can buy it here) and I applyed it over my ridge filling base.

I did three layers here for full opacity.

I stamped the image with the stamping polish Born Pretty Store #21 (you can find it here), over the purple base it came out in intense fuchsia. I'm really happy with this stamping polish because I was looking for some affordable new stamping polishes to replace my old Konads.

As my accent I applyed at the base of my ringfingers two neon studs in different purple nuances.

I applyed top coat to protect the decoration.

Make Up of the Day: Motivation

Ho trascorso le mie vacanze in Irlanda e durante i giorni in cui sono stata a Dublino non ho potuto fare a meno di fare acquisti nel negozio Lush di Grafton Street. Oltre a vari shampoo solidi e trattamenti, ho acquistato un eyeliner, Motivation/Motivazione, un blu pavone decisamente nelle mie corde.

Ho iniziato a usarlo immediatamente, in questo caso con il mio trucco bronzo metallizzato che adoro indossare in estate.

I spent my holiday in Ireland and during my stay in Dublin I went in Lush shop in Grafton Street to do some shopping.

I bought some solid shampoo and an eyeliner, Motivation, a peacock blue I fell in love with!

Immediately I started using it. In this case I used it with my metallic bronze make up, a look that I adore in summer.

ABC Challenge: N is for Navy

Con la lettera N dell'Abc Challenge mi è venuto spontaneo, vista la stagione, fare una manicure a tema nautico.

Ho usato uno smalto semipermanente perchè sarei stata in viaggio e non volevo stare dietro a unghie sbeccate e manicure da rifare per un paio di settimane.

Come base ho usato un bel grigio cemento di Bridezilla di NSI Polish Pro, sull'anulare ho aggiunto un pigmento cromato semlicemente strofinandolo sopra la dispersione con l'apposito strumento.

Visto che sarei stata fuori e senza possibilità di rimediare, ho azzardato il pigmento cromato solo su un'unghia perchè non avrei voluto ritrovarmi con tutte le unghie saltate ed essendo al primo utilizzo non ne conoscevo la durata.

Sul medio ho invece applicato delle decalcomanie di Nicole Diary con ancorette e timoni in blu e rosso.

Ho aggiunto dei cristalli azzurri e ho applicato il top coat gel per sigillare.

Ho tenuto questa manicure per tutta la vacanza senza avere problemi di sorta, anche il pigmento cromato è promosso a pieni voti!

For letter N in ABC Challenge it was obvious for me to do a navy manicure.

I used a gel polish because I was travelling and I didn't have time to do my nails for a couple of weeks.

As my base coat I used Polish Pro Bridezilla, a nice concrete grey.

On my ringfinger I added a chrome pigment just rubbing it on the sticky layer with the required tool.

I did just one nails with the chrome pigment because I never used it before and I did not know its lasting time.

On my middle finger I applyed Nicole Diary decals with anchors in blue and red.

I added some baby blue crystals at the base and I top coat with gel.

I had worn this manicure for all my holiday without any problem. The chrome pigment lasted the whole period too!

ABC Challenge: M is for Mermaid

Per la lettera M dell'ABC Challenge ho deciso di fare una nail art estiva, quindi la parola Mermaid (sirena) mi è stata di aiuto.

Ho usato uno smalto che mi ricordasse i colori del mare, Calm di Picture Polish, lo avevo già usato per questa nail art, ricordi?

Per decorare le unghie ho usato sia il nail stamping che le decalcomanie, ormai sono diventate una costante delle mie nail art!

Ho stampato in bianco l'immagine della schiuma del mare dal disco Bundle Monster BM-509 che avevo usato anche in questa nail art.

Poi ho applicato in modo casuale le diverse decalcomanie con la sirena, la conchiglia e i pesciolini.
Infine ho protetto tutto con il top coat.

Mi è piaciuto tantissimo indossare questa manicure mentre facevo il bagno al mare!

For letter M of ABC Challenge I decided to do a summer nail art, so I did a Mermaid manicure.

I used a polish that reminds me the colors of the sea. It is Picture Polish Calm, I used it in this manicure too. 

To decorate my nails I used nail stamping and water decals, I'm using them so often in this last period!

I stamped in white the seafoam from Bundle Monster BM-509 plate, I used it in this nail art too.

Then I applyed randomly the decals, mermais, seashells and some fishes.

I protected my nails with the top coat.

I really enjoyed wearing this manicure when I was swimming in the sea!
