Il tema di oggi per la serie delle 26 Great Nail Art Ideas è il calore dell'inverno.

Per rappresentarlo mi è venuto in mente la tradizionale stampa plaid che adoro in qualsiasi colore.
Siccome avevo delle belle decalcomanie in verde e rosa ho tirato fuori dai miei Helmer uno smalto d'epoca per l'occasione: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.

Emerald Sparkle è uno dei primi smalti che ho comprato dall'America sette anni fa, nella bottiglietta sembrava quasi secco ma sono bastate alcune gocce di diluente per smalto per farlo tornare all'antico splendore!

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle è uno smalto glitter verde smeraldo immerso in una base verde scuro, per me rappresenta l'altra faccia del rosso Natale 🎅.

Ho usato Emerald Sparkle come accent aggiungendo delle borchiette dorate di diverse dimensioni.

L'abbinamento alle decalcomanie in verde e rosa mi è piaciuto molto, non ricorda un caldo plaid in cui avvolgersi di fronte al camino?

Today prompt for 26 Great Nail Art Ideas is winter warmth.

I represent it with the classic plaid pattern that I love in any color.

As I had some cute decals in green and pink I pull out from my Helmers a vintage polish: China Glaze Emerald Sparkle.

Emerald Sparkle is one of the first polishes I bought from USA seven years ago. It seemed dry in the bottle but I added some drops of thinner and it was smooth again.

China Glaze Emerald Sparkle is a emerald green glitter polish in a dark green base, for me this is the other side of red Christmas 🎅.

I used Emerald Sparkle on my accent nail and I added some gold studs in mixed sizes.

I liked it paired with pink and green decals, it reminds me of a warm plaid you can wrap in front of fireplace, don't you?

Twinsie Tuesday: Share Your Polish Collection

Da circa un anno ho in bozze un post su tutti i miei smalti, sull'inizio della passione, sui miei preferiti e i miei metodi per tenerli catalogati e ordinati.


Però non mi sento ancora pronta a condividerlo, vorrei scriverlo meglio e quindi per oggi mostro solo qualche foto dei miei due Helmer Ikea.

Li ho comprati tre anni fa, quando ormai avevo scatole e scatole piene di smalti messi un pò a casaccio.

La mia collezione al momento consta di 922 smalti, al millesimo farò una grande festa!

Li tengo divisi per marca e non per colore, trovo che così gli spazi dei cassettini siano utilizzati al meglio. Io adoro le bottigliette quadrate (tipo Kiko e Zoya) perchè riesco a mettere quasi 100 smalti in un unico cassetto!

La mia pigrizia mi ha impedito di applicare un'etichetta su ogni cassetto, ma ormai so precisamente (o quasi) dove si trova ogni mio smalto!

I've for a year a draft post about all my polishes, about the beginninig of my passion, my favourite polishes  and my way to keep them in order and listed.

But I am not feeling ready to share it, I'd like to write it better so today I will only share some pics of my two Ikea Helmers.

I bought them three years ago when I had boxes over boxes full of messy polishes.

My collection now is 922 pieces, I will give a big party when I'll buy my #1000.

I ordered them under company and not color, so I can use the drawer space to the best.

I love the square bottles (as Kiko and Zoya) because I can store almost 100 polishes in just one drawer!

My laziness did not allow me to label the drawers, but I could say exactly where a given polish is located!

ABC Challenge: X is for Xoxo

Per la lettera X dell'ABC Challenge ho avuto serie difficoltà per trovare una manicure da fare.

In italiano dubito ci siano parole oltre a xilofono 😄 e anche per la lingua inglese non va meglio.

Poi ho pensato al dischetto per nail stamping Bundle Monster BM-411 con l'immagine full nail xoxo (baci e abbracci) e non ho esitato ad usarlo!

Naturalmente ho abbinato un'immagine così carina a uno smalto fucsia in stile San Valentino.

Semplice e veloce, ho ripetuto lo stamping solo sul pollice per creare un doppio accent.

For letter X of ABC Challenge I had hard time thinking about a nail art to do.

In italian there is maybe only the word xylophone 😄 and in english it doesn't get better.

Then I thought about the nail stamping plate Bundle Monster BM-411 that has the full nail image xoxo and I did not hesitate to use it!

Of course I matched to such a sweet design a fuchsia polish that reminds me of Valentine's.

Easy and quick, I just stamped the thumbs too to have a double accent.

Make Up of the Day: Crowbar

Questo è il make up che ho fatto più spesso durante questa settimana. Ho usato la palette Vice 4 di Urban Decay, sinceramente tra quelle UD che ho è quella che mi piace meno, ma ci sono dei bei colori e ogni tanto la tiro fuori e la uso per un pò.

L'ombretto che ho usato sulla palpebra mobile è Crowbar, un verde oliva con finish glitter, una tonalità molto particolare, diversa dai soliti oro caldi e freddi presenti in altre palette.

Io adoro abbinare Crowbar ai toni del grigio.

This is the make up I did most last week. I used the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette, that is my less loved from UD but it has some nice eyeshadows and sometimes I use it for a while.

On my lid I used Crowbar, a olive green with glitter finish, a unique shade quite different from cool and warm toned gold shadows.

I love to match Crowbar with grey tones.

ABC Challenge: W is for White Bear

Siamo quasi alla fine dell'ABC Challenge e cominciano le lettere difficili. Per la W ho scelto l'orso bianco (White Bear), inizialmente avevo pensato a una nail art invernale (winter) ma penso che nel corso del prossimo mese ne farò abbastanza e poi ancora non sono nel mood invernale!

Come base per la mia nail art polare ho scelto uno smalto olografico (quindi è andato via il sole per quattro giorni così che non potessi fotografarlo per bene!) blu di Born Pretty, questi smaltini sono veramente belli e a volte si trovano super scontati! Ricordi questa nail art con quello viola?

Ho creato uno sticker con la tecnica del reverse stamping, ho stampato l'orso in nero e poi lo ho colorato con gli smalti bianco e rosso per la sciarpa.

L'immagine dell'orso è del disco Bundle Monster BM-S156 che ho comprato qualche mese fa, sono troppo carini gli animaletti invernali!

Ho applicato lo sticker al centro dell'unghia, poi ho stampato i triangolini dello stesso disegno in bianco e li ho posizionati intorno all'orso grazie allo stampino trasparente.

Ho preferito lasciare senza decori le altre unghie perchè lo smalto olografico blu è troppo bello!

Infine ho applicato uno strato di top coat per sigillare la nail art.

We are almost at the end of the ABC Challenge and now it's time for hard letters.

For my W I chose the White Bear, at first I thought of winter but I will have time to do winter nail art in next month. Right now I am not in winter mood!

As my base for my polar manicure I choose a holographic polish, then sun diseappered for four days and I couldn't take a decent pic!

This is the Born Pretty blue polish, I think these polishes are so cute and you can have for very reasonable price. Do you remember this holo nail art?

I created a sticker with reverse stamping technique. I stamped the bear in black and I filled in with white and red polish.

The bear is from the Bundle Monster BM-S156 plate that I bought some months ago. The winter animals are so cute!

I applyed the sticker in the center of my nail and then I stamped in white the little triangles. I stamped them around the bear thank to the clear stamper.

I left other nails bare because the blue holo polish is too cute to cover it!

At the end I applyed a layer of top coat to seal the nail art.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Black Base - Chrome Manicure with regular polish

Da qualche giorno sono entrata a far parte di una nuova famiglia di nail blogger che postano a settimane alterne su temi stabiliti in precedenza.

Mi piace molto partecipare a questi nail art challenge, mi stimola la fantasia e guardare cosa creano altre ragazze mi incuriosisce sempre tanto.

Il primo tema che affronto è base nera, avevo tante idee in testa, poi mi sono ricordata delle decine di pigmenti per unghie cromate che ho comprato senza mai aver tempo di usarli! Quindi ho deciso di provarne una su base nera.

Ho scelto uno smalto nero ad effetto gel e l'ho steso in due passate. Ho applicato il top coat a effetto gel e quindi ho massaggiato il pigmento con le dita e spolverato con un pennello la polvere in eccesso.

L'accent è stato creato semplicemente applicando dei nail vinyls (li avevo già usati in questa nail art) prima di massaggiare il pigmento sull'unghia.

L'effetto è davvero sorprendente! Le unghie sono diventate cromate con riflessi dall'oro al rosa, una sfumatura molto alla moda, vedi tutto il gold rose che impera da qualche mese. Non riuscivo a smettere di guardarle!

Peccato siano molto più belle dal vivo che in foto!

Some days ago I joined a new nail bloggers family that posts every two weeks on fixed themes.
I really enjoy to take part in nail art challenges, they stimulate my imagination and I am always curious about other girls' manicures.

My first theme is over a black base. I had a lot of ideas in my mind, then I rembered that I bought tons of chrome pigments and forgot them, so I decided to give them a try over a black base!

I applyed a black gel effect polish in two coats. Then I applyed the gel effect top coat and I rub the pigment with my fingers.

I created my accent nail applying nail vinyls before rubbing the pigment. I used this vinyl before in this nail art.

The chrome effect is amazing! My nails have become chromed with gold and pink reflects, this is such a cool color combo with all the gold rose trend.

I couldn't stop staring at them!

It's a pity that they are much nicer live than in the picture!

Le collezioni di dischi per nail stamping di MoYou London a volte mi fanno davvero girare la testa per l'originalità delle stampe che propongono.

Negli anni la varietà dei temi si è andata arricchendo e confesso che a volte non riesco a fare a meno di acquistare alcuni dischi con disegni particolari che proprio mi mancano!

Sometimes I deeply fall in love with MoYou London nail stamping plates for their original patterns.

In the years the variety has grown more and more and I must confess that sometimes I can't resist to some plates with designs that are missing in my collection.

When I think that no other interesting could be issued MoYou London makes me think again.
